Knappe Composites offers high quality stainless steel manifolds manufactured by orbital or robotic fiber laser welding and automatic filler wire feeding, specifically designed for Xtype membrane housings and water treatment systems with ASTM or EN standard pipes, flanges, grooved nozzles and fittings. Stainless steel manifolds are available in 3″, 4″, 6″, 8″, 10″, or 12″ diameters. The pipe stubs ends are available with cut grooves in a variety of diameters, such as 1.5in, 2in, 3in and 4in, and are designed and tested for pressures up to 1200 PSI.

The advantages of laser welding are, for example, less heat distortion due to lower heat input, more precise weld seams, better welding depth ratio for the best internal weld seams.

The stainless steel manifolds are peened with stainless steel beads to reduce the surface roughness, increase the surface hardness and corrosion resistance of the stainless steel and achieve an aesthetic appearance.

On request, the stainless steel manifolds can also be electropolished to achieve maximum corrosion resistance, a shiny and decorative appearance, a passive oxide layer and hygienically clean internal and external stainless steel surfaces.

On request, the weld seams can be x-rayed for quality assurance.

Materials:

Manifold, Flanges and Fittings: Manufactured from high quality alloys, such as 316L stainless steel or duplex material, which provides exceptional resilience and excellent corrosion protection in aggressive media.

Grooved stub ends: Manufactured from 316 stainless steel or super duplex, providing high resilience and very robust corrosion protection, especially for concentrated seawater, which stagnates under the coupling seals.
