In 2023, a 350 kWh solar system was installed, enabling Knappe Composites to produce its own green electricity for the production of Xtype membrane housings and skids. The surplus is fed into the local grid.
Knappe Composites places a strong emphasis on material recycling. We recycle non-conforming plastic and FRP parts and use them to produce fiberglass-reinforced products that do not require new material, such as packaging, mounts and spacer plates. Stainless steel and aluminum chips are recycled by our partner companies and given a new life.
